SUSAN ELLEN EVERETT INTERNSHIP

The Susan Ellen Everett (SEE) Internship is designed to give students at NC State University a chance to develop professional experience in technological fields by giving them hands on experience with unique hardware. Working alongside another student, I helped design, develop, and document a camera system within the Unity game engine to support 3D and 2D utilization of a cylindrical projection room called the Cyma Rubin Visualization Gallery. More information about this project can be found on the NC State University Libraries Project Page. Further, I developed and deployed 2 showcase projects: an arcade-style kiosk displaying student-made games alongside information about said games and an adaptation of OpenSpace (a data visualization of the entire known universe) to guide guests on tours through our solar system and beyond.

Part of the internship was creating comprehensive documentation to allow those familiar with Unity to install and utilize our custom camera systems.
